CryEngine 3 has been released to the developers. It is the Next Gen Ready engine. DX9/DX10. CryEngine 3 Sandbox See What You Get level editor has been re-designed and it is more powerful then ever.
I personally cannot wait to get my hands on the editor.

hmmm it looks like optimised version of cryengine 2, i cant see the
difrence in 10 secs or more. are they planning to import DX11?,, but for
the moment... ID TECH 5 is my fav engine! cant wait for RAGE and DOOM 4

I couldn't find any cost info, but considering that Unreal3 license is
around $350,000. CryEngine3 is probably within the same price range if not
more.
So unless working for a game studio, the only chance to get the hands on the editor and the engine is through Crysis 2.

Looks really fantastic. The open environment and the river is aussum
incredible.
But such an engine can't be for free? Are there any prices for one license or someone else? I can't found anything on there homepage.

Hey Kyle,
It will be released with the PC version of Crysis 2, which is currently set to be out on March 30, 2010. Now Crysis 2 will be out for all consoles but as far as I know the Sandbox Level Editor will come out only for PC.
