In the following workflow I continue to block out the entire level with my skybox texture and closing off the map in a vacuum.
Main thing to keep in mind here, is there should be no gaps anywhere in your map that allows to see into the black void outside the world.
Additional notes included below.

I made a large woods level but for some reason whenever i test it most of
my prop_statics wont appear. The army trucks appear but that is all.

Hey frustrum,
Thanks for the feedback. Reason your nps aren't following or climb or come after you is usually because you don't have navigation built. Its simple to do, and I am doing a tutorial on this as we speak. But in the meantime check this tutorial out to help you. Let me know if it works and will go from there. Hi Alex
great site, great tutorials (l4d tuts). my workflow it totally different to what you teach but then everybody does something different right lol. I am writing this to ask for your help, i have searched the internet and tried contacting people (mappers) through steam but to no avail. I have a map im working on (right now its just the 2 room style while i learn the editor) my problem is...npc's are spawning but when i trigger the panic event they dont come after you, they seem unable to climb an obstacle in the map (a crashed bus), im thinking its a line of sight problem but was hopeing you could help as a pro mapper. i understand that your very busy and probably cant help but if you dont ask you never know right?. if poss id like to send you the map so you can see exactly whats what.

Hey Ins,
Thank you. I really appreciate it. Yeah I agree with you. For the sake of the tutorials I wanted to create an environment but not for gameplay. I wanted to focus on explaining the whole process of mapping from start to end without discussing gameplay, because that would take a whole new set of videos to cover. Thank you for watching Ins. It means a lot to me. If you have any tutorials you want to see covered or you are strugling with anything, shoot me an email.

Hi!
I think what you do is amazing! The site, the tutorials, everything. But, in your map, what if a tank hits you, and you fly over your mountains, or you just hit the skybox. In this case, don't you think, you should use a larger skybox? Ins
